Hosts of the "Morning Joe" program expressed skepticism about the report on Wednesday, referencing Trump's repeated promises to "drain the swamp." Joe Scarborough, one of the hosts, said: "This person who constantly attacked Nancy Pelosi for her husband's stock trades now has more trades than all members of Congress combined?"

Jonathan Lemire, another host, pointed out the trading statistics, saying: "That means 1,600 trades a month, which is almost 60 trades a day." John Heilemann also added: "That's more trades than I've made in my entire life."
Trump's financial benefits
Willie Geist mentioned Trump's income, stating: "He has made over $2 billion since entering the White House." This refers to Trump's annual financial disclosure report, which shows his income increased from $622 million in 2024 to $2.2 billion in 2025. A significant portion of this income has come from businesses related to cryptocurrencies.
Trump emphasized that he does not personally manage his wealth, saying: "I don't even talk to them. This so-called blind trust is managed by others." He also added: "Do you know why I profit? Because the stock market is rising, and everyone benefits from it."
According to a Gallup poll conducted in June, an overwhelming majority of Americans believe that the U.S. government and its political leaders are corrupt.
During the "Morning Joe" program, the hosts noted Trump's support for a ban on stock trading by members of Congress, which House Republicans passed last summer. However, this law does not include the President.
Scarborough remarked: "The law does not include the President," and Geist added: "This could be a financial burden for Republicans in the midterm elections, especially as many Americans struggle with high living costs."
