This year's nominees for the National Toy Hall of Fame include a collection of beloved childhood toys. The nominees include toys such as Tickle Me Elmo and park slides among other contenders.

This list also features Care Bears dolls, the dice game Yahtzee, the classic game Mahjong, Pokémon trading cards, and the game Bingo. Other nominees include the electronic handheld game Bop It!, Monster High dolls, Polly Pocket playsets, and classic board games like Mouse Trap and Sorry!.

Selection Criteria
While public nomination is open for any toy, the final selection must meet specific criteria including iconic status, appeal across generations, encouragement of creative play, or a significant change in toy design. The top three selections will be added to the hall alongside 90 others that have already been inducted. This collection includes toys like Cabbage Patch Kids, Dungeons & Dragons, Hot Wheels, Frisbee, G.I. Joe, and Mr. Potato Head.

Previously Inducted Toys
So far, 90 toys have been inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame, including alphabet blocks, American Girl dolls, the Atari 2600 gaming system, baby dolls, balls, Barbie, baseball cards, the game Battleship, bicycles, and many more. This list also includes a variety of toys such as cardboard boxes, dominoes, puzzle games, and creative toys like LEGO and Rubik’s Cube.
