Active U.S. soldiers have released new images of the damage caused by the Iran war to American military infrastructure in the Middle East. These images, whose exact date is unknown and have been shared anonymously, depict the consequences of missile and drone attacks on U.S. military facilities in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Damage from Attacks
One of the images released from Prince Sultan Air Base in Al Kharj, Saudi Arabia, shows a four-engine Boeing aircraft with part of its fuselage and radar tower damaged. Debris is scattered on the runway and in the sands. Images of this aircraft, which appeared to have been published on social media in March, are now considered a sign of the damage inflicted on military facilities.

Other images from Camp Buehring and Camp Arifjan in Kuwait also show similar destruction: a burned truck, a damaged three-story building, and a trailer field that has been devastated after the attack. One of the images shows a black smoke cloud rising from a large tent-like structure.
Reactions to the Images
This report quickly gained attention on social media, attracting over a million views on platform X. The images elicited various reactions from former military personnel and policy experts. Fred Wohlman, a retired Army officer and Democratic congressional candidate in Missouri, stated: "It is shocking to me that I have served in some of these places."
Meanwhile, new reports indicate that the war with Iran has come at a heavy cost to the United States. According to Pentagon statistics, 18 American soldiers have been killed and over 700 injured. Additionally, in Iran, at least 3,636 people have lost their lives.
The Pentagon's Inspector General report also acknowledged that Iranian attacks have caused damage and destruction to hundreds of buildings and other structures at American bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, and Jordan.
