Mariska Hargitay, star of Law & Order: SVU, will host the 2023 Emmy Awards on Monday. The ceremony will be broadcast at 8 PM Pacific Time and 5 PM Eastern Time on NBC and Peacock.
Nominations
The series The Pitt, last year's winner for Best Drama, will compete this year against the shows Pluribus, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and The Diplomat. In the comedy category, two new Apple TV series named Widow's Bay and Margo's Got Money Troubles will compete alongside previous nominees including Hacks, which is nominated for its fifth and final season, and The Bear, which is nominated for its fourth season. (Eligible series aired from June 2025 to May 2026.)

Special Performances
Noah Kahan is set to perform "Bridge Over Troubled Water" for the In Memoriam segment.

In the Best Actress in a Comedy Series category, Jean Smart from Hacks was announced as the winner. In the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category, Kate O'Flinn from Widow's Bay won.
In the Best Comedy Series category, nominees include Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Nobody Wants This, Hacks, Margo's Got Money Troubles, Only Murders in the Building, Shrinking, and Widow's Bay. In the Best Actor in a Comedy Series category, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Wonder Man) and Steve Carell (Rooster) are among the nominees.
In the Best Directing for a Comedy Series category, Randall Einhorn from Abbott Elementary and Christopher Storer from The Bear are on the nominee list. Also, in the Best Writing for a Comedy Series category, Quinta Brunson from Abbott Elementary and Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin from The Chair Company are among the nominees.
Drama and Limited Series
In the Best Drama Series category, nominees include The Diplomat, The Gilded Age, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, and Paradise. In the Best Actor in a Drama Series category, Sterling K. Brown (Paradise) and Gary Oldman (Slow Horses) are introduced as nominees.
In the Best Actress in a Drama Series category, Keri Russell (The Diplomat) and Christine Baranski (The Gilded Age) are among the nominees. Also, in the Best Directing for a Drama Series category, Salie Richardson-Whitfield (The Gilded Age) and Hanel M. Klapper (Paradise) are nominated.
