Transforming the White House into a Palace
Trump wrote in his post: "It is an honor to restore the beauty and grandeur of the White House to levels never seen before in my free time. Just like our country, which was declining under the Democrats, the White House was also severely neglected. Now, it is a palace!"

Restoration Projects
Trump showcased the progress of the project last month and signed his name on one of the granite pieces of the helipad. This helipad is designed to resemble the presidential seal. In order to make changes in Washington, Trump has addressed both the interior and exterior renovations of the White House and has undertaken other projects in the DC area.
Trump's comparison of the "people's house" to a king's residence has drawn criticism from opponents. Anti-Trump protesters have held "No King" demonstrations across the country in recent years, protesting what they see as an authoritarian government.
Project Costs and Funding
Trump also mentioned that the cost of the helipad is "expensive" but described it as "a gift to America." He stated at an event in the Oval Office in July that Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, is funding the cost of this helipad.
According to Trump, the cost of this project is about $5 to $6 million. Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Lockheed Martin had previously stated that they have assisted the National Park Service and that their collaborations with the Trump administration are conducted under strict ethical and compliance standards.
This helipad is the latest of Trump's renovation projects at the White House, which includes gold covering for the Oval Office and the restoration of the flower garden. Trump's largest project is a grand hall with gold that has faced legal challenges.
