Eyewitnesses reported hearing a loud noise following the jet's crash, and images shared on social media show a large column of black smoke rising from the crash site. Wendy Subek, a local resident, stated that she and her husband heard a "very loud crash" and initially thought a car accident had occurred near their home.
She added: "We saw a large black smoke. We couldn't tell what it was, so my husband went into his truck to see what happened." Subek continued: "You could see the aircraft debris in the field. Explosions were still continuing."
