Success on YouTube and Establishing a Business
Since launching the YouTube channel 'Songs for Littles' in 2019, Ms. Rachel and Aaron Akers have garnered over 17.2 billion views. Aaron, a composer and songwriter on Broadway, stated, "We never imagined this would turn into what it is today. In the early days, we were just stacking books because we didn’t have a tripod and used a pop-up green screen."

The couple started this channel after struggling to find appropriate resources for their son, who had a speech delay. What began with home videos has now turned into a multi-million dollar entertainment and educational business for children.
New Album and Social Activities
Ms. Rachel is almost everywhere: in books, on Netflix, in toy stores, and soon in an album. Her new album titled 'I'm So Happy' will be released on September 25. This collection of 23 songs includes original music and traditional children's songs designed as a reflection of what this couple has done on YouTube.
Ms. Rachel said, "We believe children deserve rich and thoughtful music. We love to incorporate real instruments into the songs, and maybe a child at home will say, 'Wow, a violin, maybe I can do that too!'"
As her audience grows, Ms. Rachel's public role has also increased. She has increasingly used her platform to support children affected by war and humanitarian crises, including in Gaza, Ukraine, and Sudan. She considers this activism part of the responsibility that comes with reaching millions of children and families.
In 2025, she faced criticism for alleged antisemitism, and a group called StopAntisemitism called for a Justice Department investigation into her. She has denied these allegations, which were ultimately found to be baseless. Despite the attention her support has garnered and the security concerns it has raised for her family and business, Ms. Rachel is confident in what she believes.
She said, "Every day I want to say, 'Let’s take care of the children.'"
