Mahmoud Pezeshkian, the President of Iran, arrived in New Delhi, India, on Friday to participate in the 18th BRICS summit, which will be held on September 12 and 13. This summit, recognized as an international conference focusing on economic and political cooperation, takes place at a time when Iran is facing economic challenges that, according to Pezeshkian, are in a more dangerous phase.

A serious threat from enemies

Pezeshkian, on the sidelines of the summit, identified the United States and Israel as the main agents of these pressures and strongly criticized their actions. He stated that these two countries are actively trying to bring Iran to its knees through sanctions and economic pressures. In his view, these actions not only harm Iran's economy but also damage the national security of the country.

The President of Iran also emphasized the importance of internal unity and said that there is a need for cooperation and solidarity within the country to confront these challenges. He added: "As a nation, we must stand against these threats and utilize our internal capabilities." These remarks come at a time when Iran is currently facing economic sanctions and international pressures.

Economic and social consequences

Analysts believe that economic pressures on Iran could have serious repercussions on the daily lives of the people. High inflation rates, unemployment, and reduced purchasing power are all tangible effects of these pressures. Pezeshkian noted in his remarks that the people of Iran are currently facing serious economic challenges and that the government must adopt appropriate policies to help alleviate these problems.

Currently, there are many questions regarding possible solutions to confront these pressures. Some experts believe that Iran should focus more on strengthening its relations with other countries and enhancing economic cooperation. Meanwhile, others argue that attention should be directed towards internal capabilities and national production so that the country can overcome economic problems.

Given the current situation, the BRICS summit is expected to provide an opportunity for creating new collaborations and strengthening economic relations among countries. Iran, as one of the member countries of this summit, hopes to continue its economic growth and development by utilizing these opportunities and reducing external pressures.
